--WHAT WE DO: Every year our branch contributes to the AAUW EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION by
donating to the AAUW's BALLWIN-CHESTERFIELD ENDOWMENT FUND.

Ballwin-Chesterfield AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS AT LOCAL COLLEGES to women who are pursuing
degrees and who have been out of high school for at least ten years. Most of the money donated is
raised through our unique program called
 DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS.  Money donated to this program
contributes to AAUW Funds and to local scholarships awarded by our branch.

IN 2009, BALLWIN-CHESTERFIELD WAS AWARDED AN AAUW COMMUNITY ACTION GRANT, WRITTEN
BY SANDRA MURDOCK AND PAT SHORES,  TO MENTOR WELLSTON SCHOOL DISTRICT MIDDLE
SCHOOL STUDENTS IN PREPARING SCIENCE PROJECTS.
Even though the 2009 AAUW grant has expired, the branch has sponsored a second year of
mentoring and encouragement for Wellston students.

IN JUNE 2010, SEVERAL MEMBERS ATTENDED THE REGIONAL 5-STATE CONFERENCE.  TO SEE THE
