CLOCKWISE: Pat Shores helps a conventioneer.  White hats with teal bands and crocheted teal flowers identified volunteers.  Suzanne Couch's
friendly smile welcomed registrants.  Linda Stark registers and greets an attendee.  Marcia Block and Carol Thomas also worked at  the registration
desk.  Julia Triplett assists a volunteer.  Pat and Julia organized the volunteers - 85 of them from all over the country!   With their usual calm and
cheerful competence and efficiency, they helped train volunteers and assist them so that everything ran as smoothly as possible for the 977
convention attencees.
A few of the volunteers from Ballwin-Chesterfield are pictured above.  From left:  Joyce Katz, Elections Committee Chair, Nance Roth. who managed
one of the microphones at the business meetings and identified members who wished to share their views with the assembly, Debbie McWard,
Chair of the Credentials Committee, Harriett Hirschfeld, enjoying a little break in the volunteers' hospitality room, and Yvonne Blair, a volunteer.  Pat
and Julia maintained the volunteers' hospitality room, with purse storage, hot coffee, breakfast bars, box lunches and a quiet place to sit down for a
moment and and gather thoughts.  What a pleasant place for hard working volunteers!
The AAUW-MO State Board meeting
followed the convention's close on Sunday.
