Our LAF Trivia Night was a great success, earning over $4000 for LAF. More than 140 people filled the gym
at Trinity Lutheran Church. The winning table won 8 tickets to the Rep, and 2nd place won a cash prize.
Co-President, Mary Jermak greeted our guests and talked about LAF. Our gracious and humorous MC was
our very own Linda Tinker, with Jane Miller handling the computer answers and scores. People cheered
and groaned when the answers were read. Marsha Weppelman and Linda Roberson were our judges, and
Betty Hartman handled the attendance prizes.
The 50/50 raffle was run by Pam Kuehling, with, $234 to the winner. There was a "heads or tails" game
and a Silent Auction that brought in many donations and was great fun thanks to Nancy Shepherd and Teri
Miller.
Erlaine Eltomi handled refreshments, with help from Marilyn Fletcher, and Barb Butchart who also
arranged for a barrel of the delicious local Fitz' Root Beer! Co-President, Pat Shores did our publicity,
Harriett Hirschfeld and Yvonne Morrison did intake, and Sandy Camillo, and Jan Loudon, helped with the
games.
Thanks to everyone who made the event a success, including those committee members who made
donations or helped put it together: Sue Barley, Jayne Kasten, Becky Kaley, Linda Stark, Rosann
Swaringim, and a special thanks to Julia Triplett and Ruth Griffin, our LAF co-chairs, who were wonderful
with their help and faith that this evening would be a success.
And, of course, many thanks to all AAUW members who were so generous with financial donations and
items for the Silent Auction, and for their support in making this event successful.
